Asus has officially announced the new ZenBook Pro UX550 comes with 15.6-inch 4K touchscreen.
Asus Zenbook Pro UX550 is powered by quad-core Kaby Lake processor, the latest generation of CPUs from Intel featuring Core i7-7700HQ (2.8GHz to 3.8GHz; 8 threads, 6MB cache). The laptop also comes equipped with NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti graphics chip (with 4GB DDR5 VRAM). And for optimum performance, it is equipped with dual-fan cooling system.
For the RAM, it can be configured with up to 16GB of DDR4-2400 RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe x4 SSD. There’s also an on board SSD with a capacity of 512 GB.
Aside from the conventional USB Type-A port, UX50 has an ugraded Type-C port next to the full-size HDMI 1.4 port, and with both Type-C ports supporting the Thunderbolt 3 spec (up to 40 Gbps).
As for the battery, UX550 could operate afar from power outlet for around 12 to 14 hours, and has a quick charging capability that can take from zero to 60 percent in just 49 minutes.
At 18.9mm thick and 1.8kg heavy, the Zenbook Pro UX550 is one of the most portable laptops in its class. It will be available by July with a price tag of $1,299 (PHP65,000).
