TV Plus: Updated list of coverage ABS-CBN TV Plus

According to ABS-CBN, total ABS-CBN TV Plus set-top boxes sold as of June 30, 2015 for digital terrestrial TV reached over 360,000 boxes.

ABS-CBN TV Plus just celebrated its first year anniversary. It’s been a year since the TV network launched its first digital TV receiver known as the “Mahiwagang Black Box”.

According to ABS-CBN, total ABS-CBN TV Plus set-top boxes sold as of June 30, 2015 for digital terrestrial TV reached over 360,000 boxes.

The TV Plus is previously sold at a one-time fee of Php 2,500 and with no monthly or installation fee, now it has a reduced price of Php 1,999. The box also comes with an ABS-CBN Mobile Prepaid Sim Card with Php50 load which can be used for calls, texts, and other mobile services.

There are now 2 versions of ABS-CBN TV Plus, the original version (larger box) which only supports RCA-ports and the other one (smaller box) supports both RCA and HDMI. Make sure you’ll get the second version as it can transmit HD and Full HD format in your TV.

A lot of people are asking if the previous list of coverage areas have increased, but unfortunately, ABS-CBN is still in the testing phase of its digital broadcast in other provinces. Official list is still limited to 10 provinces and in Mega Manila.

Additionally, though not official, feedbacks from other viewers states that it’s working fine in Pilar, Bataan and some parts of Davao.

Meanwhile, digital broadcast of GMA Network, TV 5 and other local channels are still limited within Metro Manila. TV Plus buyers outside Manila will only receive 6 channels from ABS-CBN namely: ABS-CBN Channel 2, ABS-CBN Sports+Action (formerly Studio 23), CineMo, DZMM Teleradyo, Yey and Knowledge channel.
