Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi announced its latest mobile device today, the Redmi 3. The device features all-metal construction and a large 4,100mAh battery. The price is around $106 (roughly P5,000).
The display on the Redmi 3 is a 5-inch LCD panel sporting a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The device is crafted out of aluminum.
Redmi 3’s chip has 4 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz while the other 4 cores are clocked at 1.2 GHz. There is an Adreno 405 to take care graphics intensive tasks. It has 2GB of RAM, while internal storage memory maxes out at 16GB. There’s also a microSD slot which can read up to 128GB.
The Redmi 3 is also equipped with dual-SIM (although one slot doubles as the SD card tray). On the camera front, the Redmi 3 comes with a 13 MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture and 0.1 second Phase Detection Auto-Focus (PDAF). On the front, there’s a 5 MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture. The Redmi 3 is available in three colors: black, silver and gold.
